Across The Sea

Is summer over with yet? I don’t think I’ve ever hoped for a summer to move so fast in all my life. Let’s just say I’m looking forward to autumn (which is a beauty in Columbus) and the fresh snow of winter to fall and signify new beginings.

Time goes so slow.

Slow on the Draw

Hello internet friends. I’ve been pretty busy the last month but things are beging to slow down for me and with the help of my new computer at home I’ll be drawing some more things and updating this site once again in the coming days. I’ve got lots of stuff to show and some freelance work that I might put up here as well. Stay tuned true believers.

Call Me Ishmael

It’s been crazy busy at work the past month and there isn’t any light at the end of the tunnel for another month or so. Let me just get it out of the way—I’m sorry for not updating this as much as I used to. Hopefully, I’ll be getting a new computer soon and I’ll be able to update this site more regularly with even crazier stuff and fresher graphics (like the one below).

Also, I’ve employed the help of my friend, Nik Braatz to start writing here as well. Nik is a long-time friend and true nerd so he should have plenty of things to talk about, like his toy collections or the time he met Jerry Only. The suspense is killing me.

Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart

It’s a little known fact that we all love Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart — but it’s true. I made this illustration in tribute to him. Someday this baby will be neatly tattooed between my shoulder blades and you can tell all your friends you know somebody that’s been down with The Hitman since day one. Larger version here.

Dangerously Cheesy

There are no words on wisdom or mystery on this one. I was just drawing and eating Cheetos. It’s not as cool as the World’s Largest Cheeto but I had fun making it so lay off! Have a great weekend everybody.

Bonus: Uncropped version right here.

Duel of the Iron Mic

Are you guys getting bored of this stuff yet? This here is just another color study of mine moving towards the old school muralistic graff look. If Iron Man and Samus Aran had a baby born in the 1980’s Brooklyn B-boy culture, I think this is what it would look like. Feel free to call me out on that.

Doc Doom is in the Room

How’s life? I’ve been pretty jammed up creative wise for the past few days so I decied to invest some time into creating some content for the site. Here’s a little something I’ve been playing on for a while. I made some desktop wallpapers out of it for both the mac and pc. Sorry, no 1280 x 1042. Also, I think it’s important to note that I didn’t draw the image of Dr. Doom. I’m not sure who did but whomever it was is fierce. I just scanned him in and colored him to match the rest of the comp. Better stuff is coming… peace.

It’s a Bran-man, maan

So what’s a Bran-man? The truth is, I don’t know the anwser to that question. My best guess is that it’s simply a creative outlet to try out your illustration and design skills within the confines of a simple object. Very similar to all the Dunnies you see everybody doing right now only these aren’t a physical thing. Here’s what you do if you’re interested in making one:

1. Go to
2. Download the templates & logos
3. Draw the dang thing
4. Email it back to them with a short description

Pretty simple huh? If they like it they’ll put it up with all the other cool brans that have been made. If they really like it then it might even make it into this book. I made the one big one in the picture above, it’s called “Overworked Einstein” even though I’m starting to think it looks more like Dr. Wily from Mega Man. I submitted it yesterday and I’ll keep you updated if it makes the site.

(UPDATE: Well, My bran made the website but couldn’t get into the book because it just went to press the day after I submited. Thanks for the add fellas.)

Air Force Ones

Yet another attempt of mine to work on my graff skills. I thought this one would look really cool on a pair of Nike Air Force Ones. The holy grail of sneakers. I’ve tried to airbrush before and it’s not easy, so don’t expect me to sit down with a fresh pair of kicks and deface them anytime soon. The guys at Sneaker Pimps do it better.

Don’t you ever step on my Air Force Ones.

Thursday Night Graff

I’m still figuring out my techniques/process when it comes to coming up with this kind of stuff. It seems like there isn’t a wrong way about putting something like graffiti together but still takes me a long time to come up with a comp like this. Playing with type just feels good to me, although when I add colors it seems to loose legibility. I hope you like it, hopefully I’ll get better at it the more I try.

Mucho Lucho

This was something I made about two weeks ago and couldn’t figure out if I was going to put it up on the website until today. I like the composition of it and think it would make a great sticker. Besos y abrazos.
