The XX album was alright I guess but a little too soft and boring for me. I couldn’t tell if they were trying too hard or not enough. Seriously, what was that album all about?

Music should be like a delicious meal that fills you up and then makes you hungry again. I don’t wanna ask ‘what’s in this’ when I’m chowing down.

I really liked the XX album.

Also, records from The Big Pink, Dirty Projectors, St Vincent, The Horrors, The Antlers, Bat for Lashes, and Fever Ray were all good too.

Sorry dru, i will disagree on McFarlane with you, he doesn’t have half the talent that any of the other 6 you mentioned do…

what has he illustrated? Infinity Inc. (terrible), Incredible Hulk (not bad), Amazing Spider-Man/Spider-Man and maybe half of (his creation) the Spawn series. That is it.

I would put the aforementioned Campbell, on that list before McFarland.

You might also want to consider Neal Adams, Greg Land, John Romita Jr., Arthur Adams or Barry Winsor-Smith.
