Gunslinging Bird

The artwork of Eric Feng is like a Charles Mingus bassline, amazingly structured and familar yet something lies unique within the details everytime you experience it. I’ve been a big fan of Eric’s work for sometime now, which will be featured in the brand new 2nd issue of Hi-Fructose Magazine along with some work from Tim Biskup. The magazine itself will be pretty hard to find unless of course you live near the world-famous Rotofugi in Chi Town. Reason #259 to move the Chicago.

You’ve already seen this stuff:
There’s Tiny Russians on Your Food
Finnish Fashions
Charles Mingus - Black Saint and the Sinner Lady

Did I tell you I got Biskup’s new dunny signed at Rotofugi? Yeah, that’s right. Rotofugi had a Biskup signing for the Kidrobot/Rotofugi exclusive Acid Head Dunny. It was packed as hell, but it was worth it.

Oh yeah…I forgot…that’s part of reason #260 to move to Chicago

#260: Meet sweet designers like Tado and Tim Biskup at ‘fugi parties.

Reason #261: I’m coming to beat you up and steal your toys.

I tried to get one of those Acid Head dunnies the day after the signing party from the Kid Robot site and they sold out whatever they had left in like under three minutes!

You better hold onto that Biskup dunny because they only made like 1,000 of them you lucky lucky jerk you.

Hey, by the way where are the Tado pictures? I demand proof.

Wait…can I not post an img tag in your comments section?

Well then, go here for proof:

PS- You should have told me you wanted an acid head…I would have totally snagged you one!

OH MAN. Would have loved to have been at that photo shoot: “So,, this is wardrobe. And this is your dressing room. Just slip into these tennis racket covers and face sock, and we’ll get started.”

(And I love that Russians were excavating a chocolate eclair! so frickin great.)

IMG tags will work now in the comments. Don’t be a jerk.

    Thanks Mark!

Never commented here beofre, but I’ve been reading for a long time! When I saw the Wax Trax patch up top, I just had to write two things. I can’t believe you work for KMFDM; they are one of my favorite bands, as well as Ministry, Thrill Kill Kult, and Lords of Acid. I would have loved to be at that Wax Trax show! Also, in Chicago, there is another store like the first one. It’s called Uncle Fun and it’s on West Belmont. All kinds of stickers, cartoon plates, action figures, weird random crap. I spent like $60 the last time I was there, but I got two big bags full of junk! It was awesome!Anyway, the art layout on the new album looks great; par for the course. I’ve always thought KMFDM had some of the most striking album covers, but to find out who does the layout is really cool too!
