Turn the Radio Off

CD101 had their annual poster/calendar contest again this year and just like last year I entered it and made it to the final show. Also just like last year I was beat out by the same guy. That’s right, the same guy has won the last two years in a row–Can we please change the format so someone else can win? Anyways, this is my entry and I was really happy with my type treatment so I can at least show it off here.

Nice poster - I loved yours. I voted for it.
I actually didn’t enter a poster last year. So I didn’t win 2007’s poster contest. I did win 2006 and this years though. The “tree one” won last year. I think that was some high school guy who drummed up votes outside the tent from what I’ve been told. I don’t know. I have the actual jpeg of the “ohiotar” from this year if you want to link it.
Oh well, again nice stuff. Love the type.

Believe me you do - you definitely do. I remember your airbrush one as well. Good stuff. I thought 2008 was a mixed bag really, I was happy with my output, but I was more jazzed with your poster and the one Bryan Rauch did (the second place one with the periodic table) that was a nice idea well executed.

All respect to the winner, I think your aesthetics are just about 2 years ahead. cheers to being before your time. I love the type and i think everything is beautiful.
and yes, I know what it’s like to be beat out for #1. senior show anyone!?
